Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the operator of snakearcadegame.com (the "Site") covering your use of the Site and the games on it. They are also called Terms and Conditions or Terms of Use.

1. Accepting These Terms

By opening the Site or playing a game on it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. Who May Use the Site

The Site is a general-audience game site with no accounts and no age-gated content. It is not directed at children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can enter into a contract where you live, use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. What the Site Is

The Site offers free browser games — versions of the classic snake arcade game — that run in a web browser. There is nothing to buy: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no downloads, no real-money stakes and no gambling of any kind. The Site is funded by advertising, as described in section 8.

4. Your Licence to Use the Site

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Site and to play the games on it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to interfere with the Site or with anyone else's use of it. In particular, you will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its servers, introduce malware, overload the service, or use the Site in a way that breaks any law that applies to you. You are responsible for the network and device you play on, including any rules your school, employer or internet provider sets.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site's name, logo, page text, artwork, layout and the code of this particular implementation belong to the Site's operator and are protected by copyright. The underlying idea of the snake game is an old and widely shared arcade genre, and we claim no ownership of the concept or of the many other versions that exist — only of this Site's own material. Nothing herein grants you any right to use any third-party name, logo or trademark, and no part of the Site may be copied, reproduced or redistributed without our prior written permission.

7. Third-Party Content, Links and Advertising

The Site contains links to other websites and displays advertising supplied by third-party advertising networks. Those third parties are not under our control: we do not endorse their content, we do not review every ad that appears, and we are not responsible for what happens when you follow a link away from the Site. Your dealings with any third party are between you and that third party.

Advertising is how the Site pays for itself. You agree not to block, hide, obscure, click fraudulently on, or otherwise interfere with the ads served on the Site.

8. No Warranty

The Site and the games are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that defects will be corrected, that it will be available at any particular time, or that it will work on every device, browser or network. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site's operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including a lost high score, an interrupted round, or anything on a third-party site you reached from here.

Because the Site is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims relating to the Site will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us to use the Site — which is zero — and (b) the minimum amount required by the law that applies to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Site's operator against any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

11. Availability and Changes to the Site

The Site is a free service with no service-level commitment. We may add, change, suspend or remove games, pages or features at any time, and we may take the Site offline for maintenance or discontinue it entirely, without notice and without liability. We are not obliged to keep any particular game, page or score available.

Because scores are stored in your own browser, clearing your browser data, switching devices or changing browsers will lose them. We hold no copy and have no way to restore one — see the Contact page.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Site.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of the country in which you live, and nothing here removes those rights.
